CRAWFORD, Neb. — The search for the $500 Golden Seed continues, and the latest clue from Heritage Seed in Crawford is narrowing the focus for treasure hunters.

After revealing last week that the prize was hidden somewhere within the city limits of Crawford, Heritage Seed owner Jason Hauser has released Clue No. 3 in the "Seek the Seed" treasure hunt.

According to the latest clue, the Golden Seed is hidden in a place where the people of Crawford gather — a location where friends meet, families visit and memories are made.

Participants are told they won't need to trespass or travel far, as the prize is waiting in a place that is open to the public and enjoyed by many.

While the clue significantly narrows the search area, Hauser said there are still plenty of possibilities.

"Crawford has plenty of places where folks come together, and Jason isn't ready to give away all his secrets just yet," the clue states.

The weekly treasure hunt, sponsored by Heritage Seed in Crawford, offers a $500 prize to the person who discovers the Golden Seed.

Treasure hunters are encouraged to keep listening for future clues and follow Panhandle Post for updates as the search continues.

And remember, as Jason says, "Sometimes the greatest treasures are found where communities come together."
