On Saturday there will be an event in support of the LGBTQIA+ community open to the public at Newberry's in downtown alliance called "Pride Prom" with a Mardi Gras theme.
The prom starts at 7 pm and goes until 10 for ages 16 and over, while ages 21 and over is 10 to midnight.
The cost of entry is $10 per person or $8 per person with a donation of a non-perishable food item.
Donations will go to Human Services Inc, and the event is being presented by the Alliance Pride Committee and Alliance for Change.
