Ross Douglas Wills left this earthly world on July 8, 2020 to be in the presence of his Heavenly Father. He ran his race, keeping his eyes on the Lord and never gave up. He fought the good fight, never lost his faith, and obtained the ultimate prize—heaven!
Ross was born April 14, 1955 to Harold (Bud) and Betty Ann (Bartels) Wills. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1973. On March 20, 1987, he was united in marriage to Johana M. Brost. It was reported her father was extremely grateful.
Ross had many gifts and talents, his ultimate gift being a true salesman through and through. From Kirby vacuums to his favorite Ford vehicles, he loved every minute!
Ross enjoyed a 24 year career with Cover-Jones Motor Company in Alliance and considered everyone there part of the family. He loved selling vehicles and never knew a stranger.
In his spare time he could dance your socks off while singing every song with his beautiful tenor voice and he shared those gifts with others his entire life.
Ross was a lifelong member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in Alliance, Nebraska. He served on several boards and as an usher during his lifetime. Of course he also sang in the church choir and let his wife heckle him constantly.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents Harold (Bud) Wills and Betty Wills, and sister, Janet Toedtli. He is survived by his wife, Johana, son, Morgan (Ruth) Wills, and daughter, Whitney Wills. He is also survived by his brothers, Tim (Kim) Wills; Mike (Kim) Wills; and Bill (Candy Countryman) Wills; his mother-in-law, Kay Brost and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jess (Linda) Brost; Suze (Mike) Bayne; Sally (Brad) Sawyer, and Jake Brost along with numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Ross wanted to express his gratitude, appreciation, and love for all the visits, phone conversations, assistance, food, and most importantly the outpouring of prayers and love for him and for the family during his illness.
Memorial services will be Saturday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church with Reverend Richard C. Mueller officiating. Following the service a light lunch will be served at Westside Event Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School in Alliance, Nebraska; Regional West Hospice of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, or to a memorial of the donor’s choice.
Revelation 21:4. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
