'Oceans of Possibilities' Summer Reading at Alliance library continues

Alliance – Make a splash with “Oceans of Possibilities” at the Alliance Public Library with Ocean Adventures Story Time for preschool through second grade on Tuesday, June 21st from 1-2 pm with special guests, stories, music, puppets, watercolor and more.

Aquatic Adventures and Experiments for grades K-12 will be featured on Wednesday, June 22nd at 10 am and 1 pm, plus Aquatic Code Clubs K-12 continue to meet weekly for registered participants. The last check in for reading goals is Friday, June 24th by 3 pm. Events will continue through the end of June, including Youth Book Club for grades 3-6 on Tuesday, June 28th from 4:30-5:30 pm sharing discussion of “Treasure Island” by Robert Louis Stevenson. Copies of the book are available for check out through a book kit from the Nebraska Library Commission, so there’s no charge. Theatre West will present “The Library in the Lighthouse” on Wednesday, June 29th at 1 pm for grades K-12. All of these special events will be in the Community Room. We will gather at Big Blue Bay, weather permitting, on Thursday, June 30th from 7-9 pm for a Beach Party, with all ages of “Oceans of Possibilities” participants! Children 10 years and younger need to be accompanied by a responsible adult and we will celebrate our “Oceans of Possibilities” experiences, including a slide show.
