UPDATE: Tornado touches down near Kimball, Bushnell

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a * Tornado Warning for... Southwestern Cheyenne County in the Panhandle of Nebraska... Southeastern Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska... * Until 730 PM MDT. * At 658 PM MDT, a large and extremely dangerous tornado was located 12 miles south of Kimball Airport, or 14 miles south of Kimball, moving east at 30 mph. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW! HAZARD...Damaging tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction is possible. * This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Cheyenne and southeastern Kimball Counties. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... To repeat, a large, extremely dangerous and potentially deadly tornado is developing. To protect your life, TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...

Southwestern Kimball County in the Panhandle of Nebraska...

* Until 645 PM MDT.

* At 613 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located five miles south of

Bushnell, or 11 miles west of Kimball, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and baseball size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency Management confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without

shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.

Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree

damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of

southwestern Kimball County.

This includes Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 6 and

16.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
