This weeks road trip was to Scottsbluff. I found myself heading to the Bluffs for an appointment, which always means experiencing somewhere fun, that you don't have at home.
My travel companion was Belle, so i wanted to take her someplace fun, she had never been. We decided on Backaracks, at 1402 E 20th. It's very easy to find, lots of parking. When you go in, it strikes you how big this place is. It of course is the sports bar and grill in the back of Racks, who hold residence in the front part of the building. So you go in the side, door. It's a big bar and critters on the wall welcome you in. And that critter has a big ol "rack".
There are so many tables it's amazing. It's very clean, and has everything available from TV's, a wall screen (I can imagine the super bowl parties here), video gaming, pull tabs (we always called them "pickle tickets"), and a Keno game is always going.
Our waitress was Miss Taylor, she was awesome. She was on the ball, sweet personality, checked back often, very friendly. This gal knows her job and does it well. We both decided on steaks, they were done perfectly and so tender. They were great. I had onion rings with mine. Those for sure are a new favorite.
Another great thing about Backaracks is their projects to serve the community. Every year they have a big auction of bras to raise money for Breast Cancer. They raise a large amount to support this.
These folks know how to throw a party. Needless to say we will be back, and we sure hope we get Taylor to wait on us.
