Posted Sep 14, 2020 2:33 PM

Alliance – The Alliance Park Foundation will host an event at the Alliance Sunken Gardens prior to construction beginning on September 21st. In an effort to preserve some of the plants currently in the gardens, the public is being invited to come to the gardens and dig perennials to be transplanted into their personal landscapes.

Alliance Park Foundation volunteers will be at the Sunken Gardens on Saturday September 12th from 8am to Noon. During that time individuals will be allowed to dig perennials from the Sunken Gardens. There is a diverse collection of native perennial plants currently thriving in the Sunken Gardens. These plants can be easily be transplanted into private landscapes, so please come take advantage of this opportunity. The group is asking that individuals pay $10 for up to 5 plants and $20 for more than 5 plants. The funds raised during this event will go directly back into the Sunken Garden Project.
