Panhandle Public Health District (PPHD) invites community members to attend a ribbon cutting and community dedication celebrating the unveiling of its new Public Health Mural on Thursday, May 14, at 10 a.m. The event will take place at 18 West 16th Street in Scottsbluff.

The mural, created by local artist Yelena Khanevskaya, is a celebration of community, connection and the stories that shape public health in the Panhandle. Designed to inspire reflection and conversation, the artwork highlights the role public health plays in supporting the well-being of individuals and families across the region.

“This mural represents the heart of public health, people, partnerships and community,” said Jessica Davies, MPH, Health Director at Panhandle Public Health District. “We are excited to share this meaningful piece of public art with the community.”

The project was supported in part by a grant from the Nebraska Arts Council. Light refreshments will be served following the ribbon cutting.

Community members, partners and media are encouraged to attend.
