Alliance, NE – The City of Alliance has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Public Fireworks Display due to several factors affecting public safety.
Fire Chief Troy Shoemaker stated, "Due to current weather conditions, the elevated fire danger, and Fire Department personnel being deployed to assist with the Log Road fire in Sioux County, it is not in the best interest of public safety to hold this year's Fireworks Display."
We understand this event is a cherished tradition for many in our community, and we share in the disappointment of its cancellation. However, the safety of our residents, visitors, and emergency personnel must remain our highest priority.
We appreciate the community's understanding and support during this time.
