KEARNEY, Neb.-An Indiana man is in jail in Buffalo County after deputies discovered narcotics in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
According to Kearney police, officers conducted a traffic stop on a speeding 2021 Kia Forte near mile marker 277 on Interstate 80.
Officers made contact with the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle Benjamin Rodway, 52, of Jefferson, Indiana.
During the stop, police said officers observed several indicators of criminal activity and a police service dog was deployed to do a perimeter search of the vehicle.
Following an alert by the K9, officers searched the vehicle and located approximately 10.5 pounds of marijuana and a small amount of LSD inside the vehicle.
Rodway was arrested and jailed at the Buffalo County Jail on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and other related drug charges.
