William “Bill” Victor Rexus (1939 - 2023)

William “Bill” Victor Rexus, 84 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home with family by his side.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Mitchell Berean Church with Pastor Jon Simpson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Cremation has taken place.

William Victor Rexus was born on May 27, 1939 to Victor and Caroline Rexus in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

He attended Springer Elementary school in Mitchell, graduating from Mitchell High School in 1957. He married Charlotte Jackson on October 30, 1960 and to this union Mark, Doug, Scott and Robin were born.

Bill farmed north of Mitchell and later in Gering Valley for 24 years. He worked at Western Sugar Company and Lockwood Corporation. In 1983, he worked for Pioneer Hi-bred International for 25 years. Bill was innovative, able to recognize a need, and create a solution. He designed and built irrigation ditch trash cleaners and in 1994 designed and built a combination lawn and garden trailer to work in conjunction with Walker mowers to solve the issue of handling grass clippings more efficiently. Through this creation, the family owned business Klipping King and Debris Systems Plus was established. He was a dealer for Hilleshog Beet Seed and Dixon & Snapper.

He attended Mitchell Berean Church.

Bill was a man of integrity, selfless, investing into the lives of all around him, his family, his customers and neighbors, always a helping hand. He loved his family passionately and left the legacy of character, be honest, help others, lead by example and take responsibility.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Charlotte Rexus; sons Mark (Jody) Rexus, Doug (Michelle) Rexus and Scott (Val) Rexus; daughter Robin (Shannon) Neal; grandchildren Tyler (Andrea) Rexus, Samantha (Matt) Hinman, Joshua (Tori) Rexus, Chantel (Jaime) Spath, Melissa (Ron) Wilson, Whitne′ (Steve) Howard, Colton Neal, Beth Rexus, Jacob Rexus and Megan Rexus; 14 great grandchildren; sisters Carolyn Ann (Marvin) Greeb, Marilyn (Harvey) Jackson and brother-in-law Roger Jackson and one niece and ten nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Geraldine Klein, Art and Lydia Jackson, great grandchild Madison Hinman and three nephews Tom Klein, Theron Jackson and Steven Klein.
