WESTCO and CHS are pleased to announce a $10,000 matching grant awarded to the Grant County Rescue Service (GCRS). The funds are made possible by the CHS Seeds of Stewardship matching grant program and will support the recent purchase of a new ambulance.

WESTCO CEO David Briggs presented the checks to GCRS on Monday, April 26. “We’re proud to support this much needed project,” said Briggs. “Grant County Rescue Service provides a vital service for Hyannis and surrounding communities and it is important that they have the proper equipment necessary in order to provide this service.”

The new ambulance replaces a 17-year-old model. GCRS covers approximately 1,500 square miles in six counties, much of which is county roads. The new ambulance features four wheel drive, which is a necessity throughout much of the service territory.

We are pleased to team up with WESTCO to support this project,” said Tera Stoddard of CHS Stewardship. “Together we are demonstrating the cooperative spirit by partnering to strengthen hometown communities.”
