After a mild and windy start to the work week, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne is predicting a return of wintry weather by Thursday.
The high temperature Tuesday and Wednesday is expected to reach the low- to mid-60s. Winds are expected to be sustained at 10 to 25 mph, gusting up to 35 mph.
In the early morning hours Thursday, a cold front will cause the mercury to dive and bring a 40 percent chance of rain changing to snow as the temperature drops. Snow is possible throughout the morning Thursday.
The high on a blustery Thursday is only expected to reach the freezing point, with an overnight low in the mid-teens.
