Join Park Ranger Eric Grunwald inside the Scotts Bluff National Monument visitor center theater, on Tuesday, August 16th at 7:00 p.m. to learn more about the Civilian Conservation Corps and some of their lasting accomplishments at Scotts Bluff National Monument and elsewhere throughout the United States. The program will start with an illustrated talk inside. Weather permitting, the group will go for a short hike outside to admire a few of the pieces of monument infrastructure that were built by this Depression-era, New Deal program in the 1930s. Wear sturdy walking shoes for the short walk (1/4 mile) after the indoor program. Those unable to make the short walk are welcome to join for the indoor portion of the program. The visitor center is located at 190276 Old Oregon Trail in Gering, NE.
