At 2:04 pm on Saturday, Jan. 11 Chadron Volunteer Fire Department was paged out for a detached garage fire with a residential structure at risk.
We responded with two city pumpers, one ladder truck, one crash unit and a command vehicle, as well as a rescue unit.
The garage is considered a total loss, but there is no damage to the residence.
