Sheldon Statewide Exhibition 'Finding Horizons' opens at Chadron State

CHADRON – The exhibition “Finding Horizons” from the Sheldon Museum of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will open Friday at Chadron State College.

This exhibition features artwork from artists such as Russell T. Gordon, John Pfahl, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, and Thelma Lorie Christenson among others. 

Finding Horizons is a collection of artworks exploring the landscape genre. According to a press release from the Sheldon Museum of Art, this group of artists has been brought together for their strong use of horizon lines through various techniques such as painting, printmaking, and photography.

The exhibit will be open to the public and free of charge in Memorial Hall’s Main Gallery Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Sept. 30.
