Stephen Clark Gable of Surprise, AZ, formally of Scottsbluff, passed away at his home on February 27, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of life will be held in May, in Surprise.
Steve was born March 29, 1945, in Scottsbluff, to Bill and MaryAnn Gable. He married the love of his life, Jade Ready, on March 24, 1968, and they welcomed with joy, children Heidi & Todd. Steve was
General Manager of 7 panhandle, L. B. Murphy stores, and when the stores closed in 1985, the family moved to Arizona. Steve went back to college and earned his BA in Computer Science & Business Accounting. He worked at Rainbow Acres, as a Comptroller, in Camp Verde, AZ, until his retirement in 2010.
Steve is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Jade. Children, Heidi (Sarge) Durbin, and Todd (Jena) Gable. Grandchildren, Colten and Tanner Selman, Jordyn Crabb, Samantha Ready, Brendan and Brock Gable, as well as 3 great grandchildren. Sister, Cleta (Randi) Nuss, sisters-in-law, Florence Gable, Jan Ready Plogg, Jill Ready, and Father-in-law, Marvin Ready.
Proceeding Steve in death, were parents, Bill & Mary Ann Gable, brother Mike, parents-in-law, Jane and Rich Enger, and brother-in-law, John Ready.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Regency Mortuary and Crematory, 9850 W Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City, AZ, 85351.
