College students  from the Panhandle, including a student from Alliance will be on the University of Nebraska  Kearney Pride of the Plains Marching Band this fall. 

Aiden Zaro of Alliance is listed on the roster, as is Hemingford's Kylie Mendiola, and  Scottsbluff's Brennalyn Carlson.

 UNK begins their football schedule of Sept. 9th. In addition to performing at all Loper home football games, the Pride of the Plains will perform Sept. 23 in the annual UNK Band Day Parade. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Kearney.
