ALLIANCE, Neb. – On April 9, 2026, at approximately 12:29 a.m., officers with the Alliance Police Department responded to a report of a physical domestic assault in the 1200 block of West 14th Street.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect had fled the scene in a silver Toyota Corolla. The vehicle was described as having front-end damage and a tow strap securing the trunk. While officers were en route, the suspect vehicle was located and stopped in the 900 block of Platte Avenue.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Bernard Mabin, was taken into custody without incident. Through the course of the investigation and a probable cause search, officers located approximately 81.6 grams of marijuana, multiple THC vape cartridges, drug paraphernalia including a scale and pipes and several partially smoked marijuana joints inside the vehicle.
Mabin was arrested for Third Degree Domestic Assault. During the booking process at the Box Butte County Jail, an additional 4.1 grams of methamphetamine was discovered concealed on his person.
Mabin is being charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Schedule I/II/III)
- Third Degree Domestic Assault
- Possession of Marijuana Over One Ounce to One Pound
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The vehicle was impounded as part of the investigation.
This case remains under investigation. The Alliance Police Department reminds the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
