Bundle up: Wind chills will drop as low as -35 overnight

A wind chill warning will remain in effect until 9 a.m. Thursday in the Alliance area, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne reported.

With the overnight low expected to reach to nearly 20 below zero and winds gusting to 35 mph, the NWS is warning of wind chill values as low as 35 below zero.

At those levels, frostbite can occur in as little as 10 minutes.

Snow is expected to continue until  approximately 10 p.m. before tapering off.

The high temperature Thursday is ionly forecast to reach 6 degrees, dropping to an overnight low of 8 below zero. 

By Saturday, a warmup will arrive, with highs in the low- to mid-40s through Tuesday.
