Pat (Patricia Ann) Buskirk peacefully passed away March 28, 2026 at Box Butte General Hospital.

Pat was born December 26, 1935 in Farnhamville, Iowa to Orvie and Mabel (Johnson) Henderson.

Pat worked at a hardware store in Farnhamville where she met the love of her life Keith Buskirk.  They were married October 30, 1955 in Fort Dodge, IA.  They moved to Bayard, NE 1 year later in 1956, then to Hemingford in 1960. Pat and Keith raised 3 sons, David, Dean and Dale. Together they farmed southwest of Hemingford.  Pat’s favorite pastime was sewing which eventually turned into her life business.  From a drawer to a store Pat’s Creative was born in 1975.  Even after retirement in 2001 Pat remained active in the business designing, creating and still hand sewing to the very end.  Pat also enjoyed gambling, Miller Lite, socializing and spending time with her family.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith, son Dale, brother Al Henderson, brother-in-law Harold Schneider and special friend, Dan Foley.

She is survived by her sons David (Toni) and Dean (Sonya), Daughter-in-law Brenda (Ed) Siffring, Sister Bev Schneider, Sister-in-law Kris Henderson.  She was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Shelley, Tim, Chad, Travis, Justin, Carly, True and Julia.  15 Great Grand Children: Shaylynn, Daren, Peyton, Caden, Brynn, Celia, Tyler, Keith, Jacen, Jack, Barret, Kate, Haley, Jake and Ryan.  2 ¾ great-great grandchildren: Bentley, Oaklynn, and baby. And Special Friend Henry Heinz along with many Nieces and Nephews

Memorials may be sent to Hemingford Volunteer Firefighters Association or Dean Buskirk (7301 Gage Road, Hemingford, NE  69348.)

A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, April 2 at 4:00 p.m. at the Hemingford American Legion.  A private family committal service will be at the Hemingford Cemetery.
