United Way of Western of Nebraska is getting closer to their fundraising goal of $400,000 for the entire Panhandle of Western Nebraska, to give back to non-profit organizations they partner with and support community impact initiatives for United Way.

United Way of Western Nebraska Executive Director Karen Benzel provides an update on the Fundraiser.

"We have raised $320,073.89, so we are about $80,000 away from reaching that goal," Benzel said. We are doing really well, but we are not quite there yet."

Benzel says the money raised will go back to their partner agencies and support the work they are doing in the community.&nbsp;
