Between February 18 and March 29, the Alliance Arts Council will be exhibiting the photography of local creative Lori Davis at the Carnegie Arts Center in the Marjorie Lue Skala Gallery.

Lori Davis Lives on a cattle ranch deep in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills and loves the ranching lifestyle. Receiving a camera on her first Mother’s Day from her husband. Lori started capturing her family’s western way of life. “Sandhills Rhythm” is a humble effort to capture the special spirit of the animals, nature and emotions that bond them all together on some of the most beautiful prairie Nebraska has to offer. When Lori isn’t helping out on the ranch she is happy dancing in Alliance, Nebraska with her wonderful dance students. This Rancher/Dancer loves to create art every day.

In the Gretchen Garwood Gallery, the CAC proudly presents the Box Butte Art Society Spring Show between February 18 and March 29.

The Spring Show is an annual show that displays the talents of the members of the Box Butte Art Society. The Society was established in 1958. Today, art society members include artists from four counties around the Box Butte County Region. Members vary in experience, media, and age. All members have one thing in common, an appreciation and love for the creative process. Members meet once a month for either classes or studio days. Members are encouraged to work in whatever media they prefer and learn new techniques from time to time.

This year’s exhibit includes sixteen adult artists and one youth artist. There are forty-three pieces in total with works ranging from photography, sculpture, mixed media, wood working, oil painting, watercolor painting, and acrylic painting.
