On 07/15/25 at approximately 05:30 hours Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of avenue I, in reference to an injury accident.
An investigation into the accident determined that a Juvenile driver was operating a 2019 Black Toyota Highlander and traveling Northbound on Avenue I. It was determined that the driver left the lane of travel to the right and impacted a parked vehicle. This vehicle then impacted another parked vehicle, which then impacted a final vehicle which then impacted a power pole. In total 4 vehicles were damaged and the power pole sustained very minor damages.
Fatigue and inattention were determining factors in the accident and a single citation for careless driving was issued. It is suspected that at least two of the impacted vehicles sustained total damage.
The northbound lane of Avenue I was closed for approximately 48 minutes while debris were cleared.
