Chadron, NE — The Slim Days Foundation is proud to announce the return of Slim Days to Chadron State College during Homecoming Weekend, September 26–27, 2025. Building on the success of last year’s revival event, Slim Days 2025 promises to be an even bigger celebration, with proceeds benefiting various scholarship funds at Chadron State College.
Slim Days 2025 festivities will feature a music festival in Downtown Chadron with an expanded band lineup featuring headliner Judd Hoos with special guest Bob Zwart, a tailgate party, and a raffle and charity auction. The event has already generated excitement from the college, local residents, returning attendees, and alumni determined to make it to this year’s show.
“The success of Slim Days in 2024 made it possible for us to provide a scholarship to a Chadron State student for the 2025–26 school year,” said Slim Days founder Ed “Slim” Planansky. “This year, we’re honoring our first scholarship recipient in the Homecoming Parade and making them a special guest at both the tailgate and the concert. It’s a way to connect our supporters directly with the lives they’ve impacted.”
Community enthusiasm continues to grow, with local businesses, alumni, and residents embracing the celebration.
“Slim Days is more than an event,” said Board Member Aaron Funk “it’s a way for us to invest in the next generation and celebrate the spirit of Chadron.”
