LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) recently released the Nebraska Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Dashboard. This dashboard provides an overview of when EMS is used, where EMS is used and how EMS is used across Nebraska. It displays data on EMS response types, response methods (ground/air), response times and EMS service response type (paid/volunteer) from 2018 to 2025.

“This dashboard helps Nebraskans understand what is happening in our communities and what types of EMS calls and responses are happening across Nebraska,” said Ashley Newmyer, DHHS Director of Public Health. “Whether it is an injury or cardiac emergency, EMS professionals answer the call. This data provides visibility into the incredible impact EMS has in our communities.”

The dashboard allows results to be filtered by geographic location (statewide, local health department, or EMS region). Users can combine multiple years of data to examine trends over time.

To protect the privacy and security of the data presented within the dashboard, some data may be suppressed. DHHS makes best efforts to ensure the accuracy of all data collected, stored, analyzed and reported from its databases. The accuracy and completeness of these records depend on the reporting parties. Final data files are generated annually for statistical reporting and used to populate this dashboard. By using this dashboard, users acknowledge the above limitations and that the data are subject to continuous updating.
