At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 12 authorities responded to a vehicle accident that was half submerged in water near County Road 34 and County Road S, southeast of Minatare.
"At that time, sheriff’s deputies were handling a domestic assault near Mitchell that reportedly involved a firearm and the Nebraska State Patrol responded to handle the accident," Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman said. "No victims were located at the scene, but personnel later learned that a private party may have transported one person to the hospital."
The Minatare Fire Department, Bayard Fire Department and Valley Ambulance assisted with this accident.
At 5:58 p.m., while responding to the accident, the Minatare/Melbeta Rescue Unit was involved in a rollover near County Road 31 and County Road R.
Minatare Fire Chief Brandi Ehler, firefighter's Lashae Ehler and Aden Taylor Sr. were injured in this accident. They were all transported to Regional West Medical Center by Valley Ambulance and AirLink helicopter.
Overman said all injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
"Chief Brandi Ehler stated that the department does have a backup ambulance and personnel are in the process of moving equipment to put that unit into service," Overman added.
