ALLIANCE, Neb. - AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is the home of one of the most profitable NFL franchises, the Dallas Cowboys. But this August, women's volleyball will takeover "Jerry World" for a first-of-its-kind showcase.

The Huskers, along with three other top programs around the country, will participate in the first ever Spikes Under the Lights event. This volleyball showcase will bring together the sport's powerhouses of Nebraska, Florida, Penn State and SMU, to compete on one of the biggest stages the United States has to offer. With a $1 million prize pool, the largest ever for a women's college sporting event, volleyball fans will likely get top-tier competition before the regular season even starts.

This exhibition will bring three hours of live college volleyball to fans watching on a major national network. The one-night event will air at 6 p.m. MT, with broadcast details to be announced in the near future.

Nebraska volleyball set the world record for attendance at a women's sporting event back on August 30, 2023, with 92,003 fanatics in attendance for Volleyball Day in Nebraska at Memorial Stadium. This time around, AT&T Stadium has a capacity of up to 100,000 people. It is still unclear if the record will be broken, but with the teams in attendance, this exhibition will be a can't-miss for American volleyball fans.

Nebraska head volleyball coach, Dani Busboom-Kelly, said this early season competition will benefit her program.

"This will be a great opportunity to face some talented teams in an iconic setting as we ramp up to the start of the season," said the Nebraska head coach.

"It should be an awesome night and hopefully a lot of Husker fans will be able to experience it with us in Dallas."

Tickets will first be available through a pre-sale for Husker Athletic Fund members at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 8. This will continue through Noon, when the public will gain access. Fans will be limited to six tickets per account.
