Santos was born April 28, 1968 at Cadereyta Jimenez Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Santos Garza Escamilla and Regina Vela Valdez. He received his education in Mexico.
Santos was united in marriage to Bridgett Timmons on November 18, 2019. The couple made their home in Bayard.
Santos owned and operated his own trucking company – Santos and Son Trucking - along with his son “Sonny.” He loved spending time with his grandkids. He enjoyed airplanes, going to the lake, working on cars and trucks, driving his motorcycle, eating Chinese food, and collecting die cast metal cars and airplanes (especially the Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am). He was a Ford guy who would argue that point with anyone, especially a Dodge fan.
Santos is survived by his wife Bridgett; children: Santos “Sonny” (Nicole) Garza III of Bayard, Regina Garza (Christopher Jo Anthony) of Scottsbluff, Monica Lesset Garza of Minnesota, Kasandra Lizbeth Garza of Scottsbluff, Gabriel Alexander Garza of Bayard, Sheldon Marcus Gibbons-Gonzalez of Scottsbluff, and Jaylon Joseph Gibbons-Gonzalez (Hannah Leach) of Scottsbluff; grandkids: Andreas Xander Garza, Adriel Jaden Lovato, Adrian Alexander Garza, Leah Dee Rose Garza, and Octavia Rose Gibbons-Gonzalez; his parents Santos, Sr. and Regina Garza of Mexico; siblings: Maria Elena Garza Vela (George Luis Garza) of Bayard, Tommy (Brenda) Garza and their family Alejandra, Tommy, Jr, and Goddaughter Daisy) of Bayard, Yolanda Garza Vela (Alfonso Garza) of TX, and Sandra Garza Vela (Carlos Martinez) of MN; godson George Luis Garza, Jr.; niece Cynthia Garza; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Santos was preceded in death by his grandparents, first wife Rosalinda Martinez Garza, and grandson Damon Garza.
