Happening next week at the Historic Midwest Theater - Scottsbluff, NE

The Gering Civic Plaza Sculpture ProjectCommittee, Crystal Sandberg, Rita Stinner and Gretchen Peters, are bringing a Littleton Alston sculpture of Nebraska author Willa Cather to Gering to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of American Independence and 50th Anniversary of Nebraska’s Interstate-80 sculptures. Come join us at the Midwest Theater for learning more about Willa Cather.

The movie O Pioneers! starring Jessica Lange and based on Cather’s book will be shown. Ashley Olson, Executive Director of the Cather Foundation in Red Cloud and Cather expert, will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about the movie and to lend depth to the project.

Film will begin at 7:00 p.m. This event is free to the public.
