As everyone is likely aware, a tornado came through part of our service territory yesterday afternoon. We are seeing significant damage in the Bingham area and North of Ashby, with dozens of poles on the ground and conductor either down or badly twisted up. We currently have our crews out patrolling line to assess the damage, and they are beginning to repair the known issues. Mutual aid from Roosevelt Public Power District is also on their way to lend a hand.
If you see any downed poles or lines, it is very important to stay clear of them. Just because they are down, does not guarantee they are de-energized. We also ask that you help us by reporting any damage you see by calling our office at 308-762-1311. If your power goes out from now going forward, please notify us as we may not be aware of your area having problems.
