Panhandle Gymnastics is holding their 2nd annual fundraiser garage and bake sale Friday, Aug. 18 from 4-18 p.m. and Saturday Aug. 19th. The fundraiser will be at 132 West 3rd St. in Chadron. Panhandle Gymnastics started in 2018 with the goal of establishing a competitive program in five years; currently in 2023 the team has 31 gymnasts from the panhandle who compete and travel to South Dakota, Wyoming and Eastern Nebraska.

Whitney Baldwin is  the parent of a competitive athlete on Panhandle Gymnastics and says the sports provides young women the opportunity to learn skills that are beneficial in life.

"Throughout each season they learn bravery, self confidence, and self responsibility; they learn to take pride in themselves even when they fall, and most importantly they learn to get back up and try again."

Contributions to Panhandle Gymnastics can be dropped off at 132 West 3rd St. Chadron from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday. For more questions, contact them at (308) 207-2799 or by email at [email protected].
