At their regular monthly meeting,  Alliance American Legion Post 7, honored local Legionaire Tom Hoerler as the 2022 , American Legion Eagle award winner in recognition of his outstanding dedication and tireless service to military veterans and the American Legion. 

Post Commander Steve Stanec, says  "Tom has been a loyal, continuous member of the Alliance American Legion Post 7 for 16 years and currently serves as Sgt-at-Arms, insuring the honor guard rifles and color guard ceremonial rifles are ready for service at all scheduled events."   "Tom also serves as the Posts Bugler on the honor guard team at veterans funerals and other occasions when the bugle is requested."  

Tom is a consistent participant in the Quilt of Valor Foundation presentations honoring our local veterans and is a recipient himself. He also volunteers to serve on multiple committees.

Tom is a past American Legion Post 7 Commander and Adjutant, as well as a past American Legion District 4 Adjutant/Financial Officer. He is also a past recipiant of the American Legion District 4 Work Horse Award and District 4 Citizenship Award.
