Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony Scheduled for May 8, 2026

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — The Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, to honor the service and sacrifice of Nebraska’s fallen law enforcement officers.

The event will begin with a social hour at 9 a.m., followed by the formal ceremony at 10 a.m.

LOCATION:

Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial- 408 State Fair Blvd., Grand Island, NE 68801

Welcoming remarks will be delivered by Governor Jim Pillen and the Attorney General Mike Hilgers.

Law Enforcement Reflections will be presented by Bryan Tuma, Executive Director of the Nebraska Crime Commission and past Colonel of the Nebraska State Patrol.

The Keynote Address will be given by Colonel Bryan Waugh of the Nebraska State Patrol.

This year’s ceremony will include the addition of two names to the Nebraska Law Enforcement

Memorial:

- Trooper Kyle McAcy

- Corrections Officer Kolby Baber

The Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony serves as a solemn tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, while recognizing the ongoing commitment of law enforcement officers across the state.
