She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she played in the chime choir. Sherry was a past board member of the EAA Chapter 608 where she helped organize airport fly-ins and dressed up as Rosie the Riveter. Her love for softball continued throughout her life. Sherry was also an avid Huskers fan, cheering on the Lady Huskers playing volleyball and the guys playing football. GO BIG RED!

One of her favorite things was spending time with her family and going back to “P-town” to visit. She had many stories of growing up on the river and flying airplanes with her dad, achieving a pilot’s license before her driver’s license. She was always on the go as a child and enjoyed visiting her grandparents’ farm, climbing trees, getting into mischief, and playing with her cousins. She loved her grandkids and attended every event she could from football to dance recitals. She and the grandkids would often be together baking her famous snickerdoodle cookies. She made everything fun and convinced her grandkids to brush their teeth by saying she wanted, “freshy fresh kisses”.
