Richard A. Stricker passed away peacefully at his rural Hemingford home on Thursday, April 30th, 2026. He was 76.
Rich was born on August 15th, 1949 in Alliance, NE to Walter and Rosie (Martin) Stricker.
On September 17th, 1967 he married the love of his life, Connie Sample.
Rich is survived by his wife, Connie, his son, Richard of Hemingford and daughter, Stephanie (Scott) Rolls of Sidney. His grandsons Tyler and his wife Carrie Olson, their children, Jaelyn, Kinsley, Chesni and Bennett, Kyle and wife Jaime Olson and their daughter, River, his granddaughter, Lexi and husband Jordan Lofing, also grandsons, Jake and Megan Olson, and Hayden McDonald. Survivors also include his brothers, Donald (Linda) Stricker and Wally Stricker of Alliance and his sister, Linda (Lyle) Wood of Cheyenne, WY, his sisters-in-law Bernadene Halle, Rhonda (Dave) Swanson, Tammy (Gary) Griffee, brother in-law Rick Sample (Jean Norman) and extended family members, Alaina, Brandon, & Ryker Schaneman and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Rosie Stricker, grandparents, sister Deb, nephew, Casey Stricker, sister in-law Nancy Stricker, brother-in-law, Brian Cullan and brother/sister in-law, Randy & Mary Sample.
Farming was his life. When he wasn’t in the field, he was enjoying a Budweiser and spending time with his family. Rich was a quiet, gentle, loving person, and a role model that had no equal. He would do anything to help out a friend in need.
