Chadron State College is closing its campus all day Tuesday, April 4 because of winter weather conditions. The residence halls and dining services will remain open. If a late start or closure becomes necessary for Wednesday, that information will be shared in a separate communication.
Chadron is currently in a Winter Storm Warning through Wednesday at 6 p.m. and the current forecast calls for heavy snow with near-blizzard conditions expected. The total snow accumulation may be as high as 22 inches.
Finally, the presidential candidates’ schedules have been altered due to the closure. The presidential candidates, who were originally scheduled to be on campus Tuesday and Wednesday, will now be on campus Wednesday and Thursday. When itineraries are finalized, they will be shared.
