Sandra L. “Sandi” Spencer, 74, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at her home in Bridgeport with her family by her side.
She was born February 14, 1949 in Gordon, Nebraska to Frank F. and Evelyn L. (Lorenz) Slaby.
On June 11, 1967 Sandi was united in marriage to the late Wendel R. Spencer at the United Methodist Church in Gordon.
Sandi enjoyed reading, working on puzzles, and was excellent at baking homemade bread. Her love of animals was unconditional. She was a member of the Bridgeport Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Evelyn Morgan of Bridgeport, Samantha (James) Kittelmann of Bridgeport, William (Amy) Spencer of Bartlett, Nebraska, and Sidney (Jeana) Spencer of Bridgeport. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law, and a granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bridgeport Church of Christ. Pastor Jonathan Seng will officiate. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance.
