SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - Last evening the Scottsbluff Police Department received a phone call from the Omaha Police Department requesting assistance in serving four arrest warrants on a suspect. OPD advised that they had an active warrant for Benjamine Jordan Peterson, 43-years-old of Omaha.
OPD suspected that Peterson was staying at a hotel in Scottsbluff. Patrol Officers located the suspect vehicle at a hotel and made contact with Peterson. Peterson was taken into custody and transported to the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center without incident.
At the request of OPD, the Scottsbluff Police Department also obtained a search warrant on the room where Peterson had been staying. Officers took several electronic devices into custody.
The arrest warrants were for the following charges; Sexual Assault on a Child Less than 12 years of age, Sexual Assault on a Child-1st Degree, Sexual Assault on a Child-3rd Degree and Incest Under 18 years of age.
