North Platte Post/Sandhills Post/Panhandle Post
For parts of the listening area, the National Weather Service, North Platte Office (NWS) has issued a Red Flag Warning to go into effect for parts of the listening area beginning 9:00am (MT)/10:00am (CT) and will be in effect until 7:00pm (MT)/8:00pm (CT). Areas in the warning include north of Interstate 80 and stretches from the Panhandle into eastern side of the state.
Temperatures will reach up into the 70s with gusty wind gust and low humidity that could possibly create fire conditions. Many local area fire departments have issue fire bans during this time. Areas in Central, Western Nebraska have already experienced fires in the past few weeks as temperatures have risen, and winds have been strong.

While temperatures are on the rise, the NWS predicts potential storm to hit the region Tuesday night into Wednesday. The storm could possibly bring in some snow along as it makes it way over the area. A chance for snow to hit the region is very low for much of the listening area.
