On Aug. 24 at 10:54 a.m. the Scottsbluff Police Department investigated a reported stabbing at Super 8 Motel.
"Investigation showed that a housekeeper was cleaning a room when two guests noticed her and entered the room," Scottsbluff Police Sgt. Philip Eckerberg said. "The two guests began to assault the housekeeper and had her trapped in the room. The housekeeper used a box cutter to defend herself and was able to escape from the room as the suspects chased her."
The house keeper went to the lobby to call for help.
"The suspects and the victim were acquaintances and had prior conflicts," Eckerberg said.
Eckerberg said a witness reported that the suspects appeared to have been drinking.
Police arrested 27-year-old Elsie Bravo of Scottsbluff and 34-year-old Rita Morales of Scottsbluff. Both were cited for third degree assault.
Scottsbluff Fire Department and Valley Ambulance assisted the Scottsbluff Police Department.
