Gering, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin Aug. 17 on Interstate 80 (I-80), from mile marker 0 to mile marker 10, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
McGill Equipment Company, of Omaha, is the contractor for this project. Work includes penetrating concrete sealer and new pavement marking. Traffic will be maintained by intermittent lane closures maintained by signs, arrow boards and cones. Anticipated completion is Sept. 24, 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
