NORTH PLATTE, Neb. —   Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol have conducted alcohol compliance checks in Hitchcock, Dundy, and Chase Counties.

During the afternoon and evening hours of Tuesday June 2, 2026, investigators conducted alcohol compliance checks at several businesses in Hitchcock, Dundy, and Chase Counties.

In total, 10 businesses were checked.  One of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 90 percent. Eight other businesses were checked but were closed at the time of the operation. All businesses checked the minor’s identification before sale.

The businesses checked included convivence stores, grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores and bars.

Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission.  Clerks who sell alcohol to minors are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.

This project is funded (100 percent, $427,899) by the Region II Human Services Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services Block Grant (1B08TI088119-01) through SAMHSA, contracted through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health.
