Hemingford Repeats as Girls State Cross Country Champion. Bobcat Boys 16th. Alliance Boys 8th

The Hemingford Girls Cross Country Team will bring home another State Championship!   The Bobcats defended their Class D  Girls Title on Friday in Kearney.   Hemingford finished 1st,  with 33 team points, ahead of Ainsworth, the runner up with 36 points.  Crofton was 3rd with 39 points.

Leading the way for the Lady Bobcats was Sophomore Dakota Horstman who finished 6th.  Junior Aurora Hinman was 10th and Senior Carlye Kresl was 17th.  Teagen Thompson and Serenity Dillard also competed.

Hemingford was also the Class D Girls Champion in 2022 . 

The Hemingford Boys Team also competed in the State Meet.  The Bobcats were 16th in the team standings with 145 points.  Boys runners were...Freshman Austin Benda (31st0. Junior Boady Hunter (32nd) . Sophomore Keirith Yale (82nd) and Sophomore Cody Penaluna (83rd) Jayme Clark is the Head Coach.

North Platte Saint Patrick's won the team title with 18 points. Freeman was the runner up with 36 points.

The Alliance Boys Team competed in the Class C State Meet and finished 8th in the team standings with 137 points. Sophomore Trevor Zurn lead the way finishing 10th.  Freshman Devin Graham was 37th.  Senior Ben Cassatt - Reina was 44th.  Freshman Asher Saka was 46th.  Senior Mario Rodriquez and Sophomore Evan Merrihew also competed for the Bulldogs.  Alliance is Coached by Kelly Erickson.

Gothenburg was the Class C Boys Champion with 38 points. Lincoln Christian was the runner up with 45 points.
