There is a situation developing at the Best Western Hotel in Chadron.
There is an armed suicidal person barricaded in the hotel.
Officers have surrounded the area and there is no danger to the public.
In order to help safely de-escalate the situation, we ask that people remain out of the area from highway three eighty five east to Maple Street and from a 10th street North to 6th street.
If you are inside that area, remain inside your home or business except for emergencies.
