The new Fort Robinson State Park Aquatic Center is among the Nebraska attractions reducing hours as the back-to-school season reduces workforce availability.
Beginning Thursday, Aug. 13, the center will be open only Saturdays and Sundays noon to 7 p.m. It will close for the season Sept. 6 and open next May.
As expected, the new facility, with its towering dual-track water slide and other water park amenities, has been popular. Donita Morava, assistant park superintendent, said it has logged more than 8,500 visitations since opening in July.
As the summer season winds down, visitors may stop by the Fort Robinson State Park office or call 308-665-2900 with questions about the park’s activity schedules.
