Thomas E. Todd, 78, of rural Alliance, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Tom was born in Alliance, Nebraska on September 19, 1947 to Elwyn and Billie Todd. Tom graduated from Alliance High School in 1965 and shortly thereafter joined the Navy. After serving 23 years seeing so much of the world, he retired from service. He then contracted back to the Navy as a civilian working on base in Mayport, Florida until his retirement in 2017
Tom married Sandy Vogel in Alliance on July 16, 2010. They moved back to Nebraska in 2018.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandy Todd of Alliance; his sisters, Linda (Glen) Fiala of Rapid City, South Dakota and Tammie (Alan) Koozer of Alliance; his daughter, Lisa (Charles) Richardson of Omaha; step-daughters, Nicole (Jeff) Shepard of Yates Center, Kansas and Renee Pendlay of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren, Jake Richardson of Omaha and Elizabeth Richardson of Iowa and Dani Lomon of Yates Center, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Don Zurn of Alliance; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and his best friend, Bihlee, his dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwyn and Billie Todd, his grandson Dylan Lomon, and his mother and father-in-law, Bill and Pat Vogel .
Graveside services will be held at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
