Two Individuals Arrested on First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Charges

ALLIANCE, Neb. - The Alliance Police Department is releasing the following information regarding a recent investigation involving the sexual assault of a minor.

On May 28, 2026, the Alliance Police Department received a report that a 13-year-old juvenile female had been subjected to sexual assault. An investigation was immediately initiated, and interviews were conducted on May 29, 2026.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were identified and placed under arrest:

Daniel Cortinas, age 46, date of birth 06/05/1980 — charged with Sexual Assault of a Child in the First Degree

Mandy Landis, age 20, date of birth 06/29/2005 — charged with Sexual Assault of a Child in the First Degree
Mandy Landis, age 20, date of birth 06/29/2005 — charged with Sexual Assault of a Child in the First Degree

Mandy Landis, 20-years-old, date of birth 06/29/2005 — charged with Sexual Assault of a Child in the First Degree

Both individuals were booked into the Box Butte County Jail. Bond has been set for each party at 10 percent of $100,000.

The identity of the juvenile victim is being withheld in accordance with laws protecting minor victims of sexual offenses.

This investigation remains ongoing. Both individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
