On October 7 and 8 the Foster Care Mobile Closet of Nebraska will be coming to Scottsbluff/Gering and Sidney. They will be serving children in foster care in Western Nebraska. Appointments are not necessary.
In the Scottsbluff area the Foster Care Mobile Closet will be open Saturday, October 7th from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm at American Legion Chapter #46, 1425 9th Street, Gering.
Guardian Light Family Services is partnering with the Foster Care Closet in Sidney, Melissa Misegadis is Director of Foster Care Services and explains the partnership.
"They've been serving areas of Nebraska mobily, which means that they bring all of the clothes to our respective areas," Misegadis said. "We work together to organize the event, and it is so we restore children's dignity that are living in the foster care system."
The Foster Care Closet in Sidney is from 12-3 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Sidney Fine Art Center.
Foster families are asked to please bring their Master Case Number in order to shop.
