Alliance City Council held a special meeting earlier this week about road projects in tow.&nbsp; Seth Sorensen says that earlier in the summer the City received bids for some asphalt overlay projects currently in Box Butte, but the they came in underbudget. "The Council asked that we have an engineer design and we bid two&nbsp; more road to meet our budget," Sorensen said.

The project being done is called the Phase II  Alliance Street Rehab project and the roads that are being done are 21st and 18th St. The amount of the bids were for $385,985.00 for Werner Construction and $649.000 for Simion Contractors.&nbsp;

Sorensen says that the hope is that the project is done some time this fall.&nbsp;
